Applications of Daniel 12

Applications of Daniel 12

History is Godís story! His prophets have written it down in the Holy Scriptures, the Bible. The wise, who diligently search the Scriptures, will understand what He has revealed about the future. Therefore, Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Do not miss what the Bible says about the coming of Christ. Jesus chastised the Jews of His day for not understanding and believing what the OT foretold about Him.

And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, nor does his
word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life (John 5:37-40).

The book of Daniel predicts the two advents of Christ. It predicted that Godís people would not receive Him the first time. All Israel, however, will be saved before He comes the second time to reign as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Like Daniel, we will not understand everything! Nevertheless, we should have the same burning desire to know and understand more about Godís plans for the future. Ask questions as you read the Word of God. There is a wealth of knowledge in the Scriptures for our digging out and
decoding. What we do understand will build our faith in God, our hope of eternity, and our love for the Anointed One, who was cut off and had nothing so we might have everythingóour allotted inheritance in His kingdom.

Daniel was Godís man for his times for many reasons; several reasons stand out:

1. His faithfulness to God and His Word while in a pagan world
2. His persistence in prayer
3. His testimony of the Most High God before peers and superiors
4. His desire to know and understand the things of God
